New Venture Services Frequently Asked Questions What is the focus of Altika? Altika is dedicated exclusively to servicing the
needs of clients with liquidity and strategy consulting. What
are your fees? Altika will assess your business and the success you
are looking for to determine the correct fee structure. We can be retained
for monthly fees with a set performance and hourly package or on an hourly
advisory rate. Project type work, such as business plans, market strategy
or financial modeling use a set pricing structure. Fund-raising
transactions are on a contingency-based structure with a success fee as a
percentage of the total transaction. Portion of the payment for services
rendered may be in equity, depending upon the corporate business structure
and nature. For on-going advisory work, we take either an equity stake or
sign a retainer. What
type of new venture services do you provide? Within the new venture service, we prepare business
plans replete with market research and financial modeling; provide
fund-raising services such as: preparing investor presentations, coaching
clients, identify investors, and work on fund-raising with success fees;
and we provide board and advisory services. Why
are your business plans better than one written with business plan
software? Our business plans are not only a succinctly written
document explaining your idea; but more importantly, it is a compelling,
succinct and easy-to follow presentation that illustrates how an investor
will profit from participating in the growth of your company. Our plans
include answers to the critical questions that sophisticated investors
need to know before committing funds, such as market size, return on
investment, financials, pre-money value and operations. How
does Altika differ from other firms? Altika uses proven methodologies and due diligence in
all subject areas to ensure success for all our clients. We sign service agreements and NDAs to cover all our
representations, and provide constant communications of the progress for
each client. Our process is comprehensive and involves client
sessions (onsite or offsite via phone or e-mail); opportunity assessment;
concept refinement; strategy development; SWOT and options; business plan
questions; writing the plan; and financial modeling. Altika maintains strategic partnerships &
alliances with other investment firms and has a vast network of contacts
with executives in various industries to determine new venture
opportunities that our clients will benefit from.
